Visual Image Advertising : Christmas CardThe eyes may play tricks when dealing with optical illusions, but it’s the treats of this Holiday card that stayed in the minds of those who received it.

Oklahoma Literacy Council : Poster, Postcard, Drink Ticket & Flyer : Benefit CampaignThe first and ideal concept featured Benjamin Franklin’s entire visage created out of the quotes and writings of the founding father, but time and expediency prevented the whole face from being rendered in the words of our country’s greatest renaissance man.

St. Paul’s Lutheran Church : Package Cover : Time and Talent PackageSaul of Tarsus, more commonly known as St. Paul, had just been cured of blindness, with something akin to fish scales falling from his eyes. St. Paul became a great leader in the early Church. This piece was a call-to-action for church members to “regain their sight,” and donate their time and talents.

The Urban League : Program : 2005 Gala and Annual ReportAgain, notice the Urban League's logo, a circle with the equality sign. The cover was printed using black ink and two varnishes that interfered with the paper's natural shine causing the audience to interact with the piece. |

Bruce Goff Lecture Series : Poster : Frank Gehry on Materials in Architecture and ConstructionThe great and famous April Greiman came to the University of Oklahoma to speak a few years ago when I was a student, and she graciously reviewed my portfolio. Ms. Greiman selected this piece and offered a few suggestions. It later won several awards and lead to landing my first real design job. She has my many thanks and gratitude, not just for her professionalism and creativity, but also for taking the time to critique a student’s work.

AIGA : Poster : Vote 2004Another student project, this one irked many of my peers, who felt that the 'Power to the People' had little meaning in modern culture, insisting that the phrase, the very idea, had come and gone in the 1960's and 1970's Black Panther Movement. I disagree. I believe that the people are the ones that hold the power in our country. Do we not elect our leaders? Do we not vote for our laws? Do we, as a people, not still hold the same truths to be self-evident the way our forefathers did generations ago? The day that we as a people stop having power is the day freedom, democracy, independence and liberty die.
